🇨🇳❌🇩🇪 A Chinese warship targeted with a laser beam a German military aircraft over the Red Sea.
The German Foreign Office summoned the Chinese ambassador in Berlin and handed over a protest note over this incident which the foreign office said it endangered the lives of the aircraft crew.
The aircraft that was blinded by the laser beam is a Beechcraft 350 maritime reconnaissance aircraft which was on a surveillance mission at the time.
The German Air Force is part of the EUNAVFOR "Aspides" Mission in the Bab-el-Mandeb strait to protect international shipping from Houthi missiles.
